"I believe the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms," Obama said. "But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not on the streets of our cities."Kinda sorta sounds like he wants some new gun laws.
That would be Barack Obama. You know, the same one whose press secretary Jay Carney said this three days ago:
"I would say that the president's views on this are as he has stated and as he spelled out in the op-ed that was published in an Arizona newspaper," said Carney, "which is that he believes we need to take steps that protect Second Amendment rights of the American people but that ensure that we are not allowing weapons into the hands of individuals who should not, by existing law, obtain those weapons."Aah well...we all knew that what Mr. Carney said didn't represent the true Barack Obama.
