Wake Up Boo! Go get a Pizza at Papa John's!!

I don't feel like being depressed about the election anymore. This used to be a favorite song of mine.

While you're at it, please, if you can, STOP BY PAPA JOHN'S TODAY. It's  National Papa John's appreciation day, because they're brave enough to say what ObamaCare means to businesses across the country and leftists are threatening boycott.

Petraeus Testimony per Rep. Peter King

from MRC TV.

It looks like they were specifically trying to hide the fact that this was terrorism. Go to Imam Barack for comments as to why this would be.

Egypt rushes to support Hamas terrorists. Why are we still funding them?

Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip say they have launched a rocket on Jerusalem - the first time the holy city has been targeted from Gaza.
Israel Army radio said the missile landed just outside the city - and there are no reported casualties. An earlier missile targeted Tel Aviv.
It comes amid mounting violence, following Israel's killing of Hamas's military chief on Wednesday.
Egypt's leader has vowed to back Gaza in the face of "blatant aggression".
‘If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel’ – Benjamin Netanyahu

I firmly believe this. The fact that all of the reports of rocket attacks on Israel come immediately following the US election is not just coincidence.

Obama, through his idealistic view of the Islamists, has helped them come into power throughout the Middle East. Now we have President Mohammed Mursi of Egypt rushing to the aid of Israel's enemies.

Why are we funding Egypt to the tune of $6,000,000,000?

Twinkie is Dead?!!

Yeah, I don't care who's responsible. This is almost worse (not really) than Obama being reelected. When I was a kid, anything in my lunch that was a twinkie was a good thing. Twinkie was quite literally love to me.
The BCTGM in September rejected a last, best and final offer from Hostess Brands designed to lower costs so that the Company could attract new financing and emerge from Chapter 11. Hostess Brands then received Court authority on Oct. 3 to unilaterally impose changes to the BCTGM’s collective bargaining agreements.
Hostess Brands is unprofitable under its current cost structure, much of which is determined by union wages and pension costs. The offer to the BCTGM included wage, benefit and work rule concessions but also gave Hostess Brands’ 12 unions a 25 percent ownership stake in the company, representation on its Board of Directors and $100 million in reorganized Hostess Brands’ debt.
“We deeply regret the necessity of today’s decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike,” said Gregory F. Rayburn, chief executive officer. “Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders.”
This shows how unions directly influence the cost of goods and services, thereby driving the cost of living up, thereby needing more money for that 'living wage', causing need for more 'negotiations' with unions wanting more, eventually driving companies out of business, unless, like USPS, the 'company' is guaranteed by the Constitution or bailed out in some kind of kabooki theater like GM -- (GM is going down and we're all going down!! The world is coming to and end!!).

Interestingly, the Twinkie case is a good illustration of just how long a company can last by going through bankruptcy. Still think GM wouldn't be around? Think again. Hostess had already been through bankruptcy before this.

So in the end, BCGTM has shut down all jobs within Hostess Brands, not just their own. Good luck to them in their future careers.
"Most employees who lose their jobs should be eligible for government-provided unemployment benefits," Hostess said.
Guess we'll all pay in the end for union stupidity.

Union thugs may lose their jobs at Hostess forever.

via KWHC:
Hostess Brands CEO said Wednesday the company will liquidate unless striking workers return to the job by the end of the day on Thursday.
"We simply do not have the financial resources to survive an ongoing national strike," Greg Rayburn said in a statement.
Workers are protesting a contract imposed by a bankruptcy court. The bakers union has called the contract "outrageous."

A liquidation would result in more than 18,000 workers losing their jobs.

Over the weekend, workers in the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union, or BCTGM, went on strike at Hostess-owned plants in several states. The strike includes workers at the Dolly Madison plant in Emporia.
Hostess filed for bankruptcy in January, the second time it has done so since 2004.

Union employees in Emporia say in August of last year the company stopped giving them their pension earning. They say it now wants to cut wages by eight percent.

"You put in the time, you put in the years, I mean, we all have dedicated our lives to the company and they just don't appreciate it," said one striking worker.
I'm sure they don't appreciate that the unions won't negotiate.

I have a hard time imagining that Hostess Brands would want to completely shut down their operation. They are the largest baker in the United States and they've been around forever! Throw this one on the union greed pile. In a faltering economy, they expect to make the same wages they always did and keep their jobs. good luck with that. We're all hurting. Food prices are up. People are buying generic brands. Energy prices are up, and there is no end in sight.

My best wishes go to Hostess. I'm sure the left will have a heyday with them if they close, trying to make them out to be the "greedy rich."

USPS in trouble...again.

look familiar?
Via Bloomberg
The U.S. Postal Service said its net loss last year widened to $15.9 billion, more than the $15 billion it had projected, as mail volume continued to drop, falling 5 percent.
Without action by Congress, the service will run out of cash on Oct. 15, 2013, after it makes a required workers compensation payment to the U.S. Labor Department and before revenue typically jumps with holiday season mailing, Chief Financial Officer Joe Corbett said.
The service, whose fiscal year ended Sept. 30, lost $5.1 billion a year earlier. It announced the net loss today at a meeting at its Washington headquarters.
“We are walking a financial tightrope,” Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said at the meeting. “Will we ever stop delivering the mail? It will never happen. We are simply too important to the economy and the flow of commerce.”
In this climate, all those union employees are too important to let go.  Too important to the economy? Hmmm.
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYS: FDX) announced today that it has been recognized as one of the top 10 World's Best Multinational Workplaces by Great Place to Work® Institute for the second year in a row. The ranking is the world's largest annual study of workplace excellence and identifies the top 25 best multinationals in terms of workplace culture.
"I am delighted that FedEx Express has once again been named among the world's best multi-national workplaces," said David J. Bronczek, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Express. "This is the second consecutive year we achieved this prestigious global ranking. This award serves as another testament to our unique service culture and to our people and operating teams around the world who go above and beyond for our customers every day."
Yes, the USPS is a critical part of our life. Yes, I think it should be privatized completely, with little or no government help. Let capitalism take it's natural course and force the USPS to streamline and become competitive. As the years have progressed, much of their business has been taken up by corporations not run by the government -- FedEx, UPS and the entire internet, to name a few. There are entrepreneurs out there who would be glad to pick up the slack, should the USPS be forced into a position where they couldn't function anymore. The unions don't help. I have relatives (staunch democrats) who work at the post office, who are constantly talking about the dysfunction caused by the union.

The last time I had to deliver something  using the local post office, my experience was, to my surprise, pleasant. This was the exception rather than the rule. Speed is not of the essence when you're postal employee.

Death of a terrorist.

From AP:

Yup. Israel knows how to defend herself.

And what has Barack Obama done so far about Benghazi? Oh yeah. He arrested that guy who made a video.

Obama Drives us over the fiscal cliff, no matter what.

FOX News reports:
President Obama, ahead of his first press conference since winning re-election and a meeting later this week with congressional leaders, staked out his starting point for fiscal cliff negotiations -- $1.6 trillion in tax hikes.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney made clear that the president is sticking by his original budget plan, which includes $1.6 trillion in new revenue, by raising taxes on households making more than $250,000.
So. Out go the 'Millionaires and Billionaires' who pay most of the taxes anyway. This is about anybody making over $250,000 Out goes 'fair share', seeing as how half of the wage earners in this country don't pay taxes at all.

What King Barack will do, and the Republican RINOs will bend over to give him -- is give us a nice big tax hike to the tune of 1.6 trillion to go with the twenty new taxes that are attached to ObamaCare.
Republicans, though, are adamantly opposed to raising tax rates, despite a willingness to deal on closing loopholes and deductions. Further, while Carney said the president would consider cuts to entitlements and other domestic programs, it's unclear how far he can go without engendering a backlash from Democratic lawmakers. Whether the sides can bridge those gaps is the big question -- if they cannot, the country will dive over the so-called "fiscal cliff," a combination of spending cuts and tax hikes set to take effect in January.
Which deductions exactly? Charitable contributions? Dependent credits? No matter how we look at this, it'll bring the already faltering economy to a stuttering halt. Because of Obama's reelection, companies like Papa John's and Applebee's are threatening to reduce work force so that they can stay in business.

Speaking of which, remember to support Papa John's this Friday. Read more about them here, and here.

Secession

On November 6, our country voted for abortion. We voted against small and large business, for higher tax rates (especially on those wealthy enough to be able to hire people), for free stuff (without having to work for it), for Islam and against Israel. We voted to not uphold our own laws, with regard to illegal immigration. We voted for death panels. We voted against freedom of religion.

Or rather, the people in those blue counties did. That vote doesn't represent the rest of us.

Let me be clear. The government takes my taxes, and then, my representatives take that money and do things with it that serve the better interests of the takers.

So, the other night, when I saw an online petition to allow the state of Texas to peacefully secede from the United States, I signed it.

Here's a link.
The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.
Are we any less patriotic for signing a secession petition? I personally don't live in Texas, but I can understand the frustration of seeing what the Obama regime has done and promises to do to our country, its standing and our economy. The petition offends me not in the least. These people want their Constitution back. They want a country with borders and culture and law. They are tired of being called racist for disagreeing with the Presidents horrible policies. Barack Obama didn't represent them in the slow way that he dealt with the wildfires last year.

The left wants more of the money that we earn, so they can give it to the greedy who refuse to work for it.

Secession doesn't stand a chance, in my opinion, but in a small symbolic way, it might send a signal to others that there's a real problem in America today.

Since the petition appeared on the White House website, at least 29 other petitions have appeared, including New York and New Jersey.

I agree wholeheartedly with the message, which is that we are in scary times and that we are not being represented by Barack Obama and his regime, nor any of the Democrats on Capitol Hill.

UPDATE:

All 50 States have secession petitions now. This reminds me, in a small way, of what happened with the breakup of the USSR. The petitions mean little, but there are plenty who take them seriously, and even more will if we lose our freedoms, as we have been doing on a daily basis.

DUDE! Not the twinkie! UNIONS KILL THE TWINKIE!

From ABC News:
Hostess CEO Grey Rayburn said the faltering company cannot handle the industrial action.

"We've been very straight forward that the business can't withstand the significant work stoppage," he said. "If this strike continues, there is certainly a risk that Hostess will go out of business.
...
The company, which is privately owned by two hedge funds, has struggled in recent years with two bankruptcy filings, and is locked in a battle with the bakers union.
"Hostess Brands is making a mockery of the labor relations system that has been in place for nearly 100 years," union President Frank Hurt said in a statement. "Our members are not just striking for themselves, but for all unionized workers across North America who are covered by collective bargaining agreements."
The union, which represents more than 80,000 industry workers, maintains that the company's policies will bring its members back to workplace standards of the 1950s.
Michelle Obama, when asked to comment, said this: "I think that twinkies are a thing of the past.  They should consider replacing that creme filling with broccoli or carrots. By the way, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that I have stockpiled several warehouses with twinkies in Roswell, New Mexico for the eventuality of a twinkie crisis.

Elmo? Elmo! ohhhh, Elmo.

 From E online:
Kevin Clash, the Emmy-winning puppeteer famed for performing Sesame Street's beloved Elmo for the past 27 years, is denying accusations that he had sex with a 16-year-old boy.
Sesame Workshop issued a statement Monday saying that a 23-year-old man contacted the company in June alleging he and the 52-year-old Clash had a relationship seven years prior. Workshop reps say they met with the unidentified accuser twice and communicated with him on repeated occasions. They also met with Clash, who adamantly denied wrongdoing.
Yeah, glad this ain't my kid.

I miss the good old days with Mr. Rogers, who was an ordained Presbyterian minister. Look him up on Wikipedia. Except for his career, his bio reads a little like Mitt Romney's, which in this day and age, apparently, most people dislike.

And yes, it was a day when people could be so innocent, they didn't even realize they were flipping the proverbial bird. Even some adults.

The deck was stacked from the beginning.

The guy's name is Clint Curtis. He's shown here alleging that he worked on a program - while he was working at Yang Enterprises - to help Republican Tom Feeney cheat in an election in Florida using touch screen voting machines.

The story seems questionable because Florida was using the punch card ballots at the time he says he did this.

His testimony is before the Ohio State legislature.

thank you to Molly for sending this my way!

He's a Democrat (which automatically makes me think he's lying) but he's also a programmer who sounds like he knows what he's talking about. He (as stated in his testimony) helped find someone he worked with who shipped anti-tank missile technology to China.

Do I believe that voting can be rigged using touch screen machines? Absolutely.

Do I think that the Barack Obama campaign benefited from such practices? I don't know.  But it wouldn't surprise me.

I definitely blame, in large part, the obsolete media for telling us the economy is all wine and roses when we're really in a deep pile of sh*t brought on by throwing all of our money away, printing more and then throwing that away. Funny how they tried to tell us how absolutely horrible things were when George Bush was president.

Take a look at this screen-cap of a graphic from Washington Post:

Look at how people view the economy right now. Excellent or good. Wow. The labor participation is as low as it's been since the Carter years, but the Obama propagandists tell us everything is hunky dory.

In the real world, we'd put a success maker like Mitt Romney into the presidency right away over someone who's only picked losers, who's also beaten our economy into a stupor with overregulation and tax burden.

We sure as hell wouldn't choose a leader who gets his people in the field killed through paralysis and incompetence, and then puts his cowardice on full display by trying desperately to cover it up and pass the buck.

But this is not the real world anymore.

It's the world of libtards.

And the libtard media.

More to come.

Feelin' Bad Blues

Twenty four hours ago, I was excited. I knew -- knew that we would vote the SOB out of office. He's weakened the United States and is about to drive us over a cliff.

But a majority of the American people disagreed with me.

Do I need any more reason to post this?

Last Night

Last night, I went to bed realizing that America as I knew her had failed.

People want free stuff. They want open borders. They want subsidized education for Illegal immigrants.

They want to punish the hiring class for being richer.

They want free money.

They want to punish banks for making loans and then expecting to get that money back.

They want to punish Israel for expecting to defend herself and to build on her own lands.

They want to befriend a people who are responsible for some of the worst atrocities imaginable in the world today, including both 9-11's.

They want the Catholic Church (and others) to pay for abortions and contreceptives.

They want the illusion of free healthcare, even if they have to pay more to get it.

They want higher tax rates.

They want welfare.

They want to be energy dependent on other countries that would just as soon see them dead.

They would give up their precious freedoms and liberties (just to seem caring and open minded) to people who would rape or kill them just for uttering words or drawing pictures that offend.

They want a 'free' press that only tells happy thoughts about their president and only says the bad things about those who oppose him. A press that would hide embarrassing corruption and

They don't want strength.

And they don't want God.

This is Obama's party: Voter cheating at the polls.

So far the last couple days, we've read about:
Electioneering in Houston:
According to Eve Rockford, a poll watcher trained by voter integrity group True the Vote, three NAACP members showed up to the 139 precinct location with 50 cases of bottled water and began handing bottles out to people standing in line. While wearing NAACP labeled clothing, members were "stirring the crowd" and talking to voters about flying to Ohio to promote President Barack Obama.
Voter suppression of the military:
A group of Republican senators said Monday that thousands of voter ballots are unlikely to reach military service members until after Nov. 6.
One day ahead of the election, Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas), Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) sent a letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to express their concern over delays in ballots reaching military voters overseas.
Voter intimidation in Texas:
Bishop John Lawson is running for State Senate in district 23, in south Dallas, a liberal stronghold. It is the first time in twenty years that a republican has challenged for that seat. Last Thursday, Mr. Lawson’s twenty-year-old daughter, (who respectfully requested that I not use her first name) went to vote for the first time in her life. Upon her arrival to the polling station she was assigned a supervisor to 'assist' her in casting her ballot. This by itself is a violation of state and federal election laws, but Ms. Lawson, being young and inexperienced had no knowledge that this practice was out of the ordinary.

According to Ms. Lawson as she was in the process of scrolling through the candidates and making her selections, the “Supervisor”, a woman by the name of Vanetta Nelson, was standing over her private voting booth. Upon realizing that Lawson was voting a straight republican ticket, she reportedly questioned Ms. Lawson, telling her she had done it wrong. "I had never voted before, this was my first time, of course I was intimidated" says Lawson. Then, to her dismay, Nelson began reaching into the polling booth and changing her selections to democrats. Lawson attempted to protest and change her ballot, but at some point both Lawson and Nelson hit the “Cast Ballot” button. It is unclear how altered the ballot was when it was cast.
This morning, we see:
GOP election officials being booted out of the polling places in Philadelphia:
A Pennsylvania judge is issuing an order to reinstate Republican election officials across Philadelphia who allegedly were ejected or refused entry by on-site Democratic voting chief judges, GOP officials tell Fox News.

One Republican official claimed that "just under 70" Republican election officials were blocked from Philadelphia polling sites Tuesday morning by Democrats on site. One of them, the official claimed, "was shoved out of the polling place."

"For this many inspectors to be ejected from polling places is rare, even for Philadelphia," the official told FoxNews.com.
Voter intimidation in Philadelphia:

A woman in a Detroit polling location was aggressively campaigning for Obama. A female voter in line objected. The Obama supporter punched the woman in the face.
Police came to arrest her and she smacked the cop.
Developing...
Shredded GOP voter registrations in Philadelphia:
The Community Voters Project is a "non-partisan" lefty organization whose mission is to register people to vote, with a particular emphasis on minorities. In the 2008 election, they had offices in 10 states and registered around 300,000 minority voters. So far, so good. This year, however, it seems they aren't registering everyone who wants to vote. Outside a CVP office in Philadelphia, for example, they shredded and threw away numerous registration forms. A number of these were for people trying to register as a Republican.

Electioneering in Philadelphia:
Voter Intimidation in North Carolina:
The father of a mentally handicapped woman claims his daughter and others were “carted off” to a North Carolina polling site last week and “coaxed” into voting for President Obama by workers of the group home where she stays -- a claim the owner of the home disputes and that apparently has not yet triggered an investigation by election officials.
The father, Cecil Pearson, said his daughter – who is 40 but has the “mentality ... of a 7-year-old” – was “brainwashed the night before” and then taken to a Roanoke Rapids polling site on Friday to vote. He said his daughter told him what happened when he picked her up on Sunday.
False flag operation in Medina County, Ohio:
Flyers claiming to be from a non-existent Tea Party in Medina, Ohio were placed in mailboxes on Monday urging Ohio voters to defeat "the n***er" in the White House to "help keep our country strong and white."
The flyers, obtained by Breitbart News, were found in mailboxes along Rt. 252 in Medina County, Ohio. It is against federal law to place such flyers into mailboxes.

Amy Brighton, Co-founder and Co-coordinator of Medina Tea Party Patriots, told Breitbart News that these "disgusting" flyers were a "desperate attempt to smear the millions of Americans involved in and supportive of the tea party movement on the eve of the election."
Claims of multiple votes (fits the socialist 'End justifies the means' meme):
Voter fraud in Nevada (putting illegal aliens on the voting rolls:
Just hours before voters go to the polls in the battleground state of Nevada, a national group has announced it plans to file a complaint regarding illegal immigrants purportedly being allowed to vote.
ALIPAC, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, based in Raleigh, N.C., sent the Nevada secretary of state an email outlining its intention.
"We want to stop the felonious thefts of American elections," says William Gheen, ALIPAC's president.
Gheen points to a commentary published in Sunday's Las Vegas Review Journal. In it, editorial writer Glenn Cook accuses the Culinary Union 226 of knowingly registering illegal immigrants and then pressured them to vote.
Uhmm:
Dead voters in California are turning up and are voting:
According to state records, Carol has voted in the last two presidential elections, despite having passed away.
A Poll watcher threatened with a gun in detroit:
The poll watcher, a lawyer, was confronted by a voter who demanded that he show his credentials. The poll watcher complied with the request –but the voter objected and allegedly brandished a gun and badge and ordered him to leave the precinct.
The GOP observer was reportedly chased away by the unidentified gun-wielding individual.
The Detroit Police Dept. confirmed to Fox News they are aware of the alleged incident and are currently investigating.
The Houston NAACP plans to keep up the dirty tricks:
The Houston chapter of the NAACP has announced their intention to continue showing up to Houston-area polling stations and “helping” people vote. According to the local authorities, this “helping” violates election laws.
The NAACP polling station issues began on November 2nd when the Houston NAACP hadeffectively taken over a local polling station. A True the Vote volunteer election observer gave a sworn statement detailing the NAACP’s disruptive and aggressive behavior, as they advocated for Barack Obama. Local authorities immediately backed up the volunteer's claims of disruptive, aggressive, and illegal behavior from the NAACP, but stopped short of calling the incident a “take-over.”
More to come as the day progresses.

Conservatism Is Calling -- INSPIRING!!

Watch. Tomorrow is the grand day that we get to reverse the course the president has set us on.

thanks to droogie for sending this my way!

Get the undecideds -- all five of them -- and lock them in a room and force them to watch this. If they are still undecided by the end of this video, then they are stuck on stupid.

Vote for Romney. Vote for all the Conservatives. Let's get our country back!

WATCH FOR VOTER FRAUD!

Watch out for voter fraud. James O'Keefe has been reporting the things that the obsolete media won't touch.

Also this yesterday from Townhall.com:
According to Eve Rockford, a poll watcher trained by voter integrity group True the Vote, three NAACP members showed up to the 139 precinct location with 50 cases of bottled water and began handing bottles out to people standing in line. While wearing NAACP labeled clothing, members were "stirring the crowd" and talking to voters about flying to Ohio to promote President Barack Obama.
After watching what was occurring, Rockford approached Polling Supervisor Rose Cochran about what she was seeing.
"I went to the polling supervisor and let her know that it was not appropriate that they were in the building handing out water. She ignored me. I repeated my statement. She told me that she would handle it. She did nothing. I then went to the assistant supervisor and he stood up, walked over to another table and then sat down. I then walked into the waiting room and they were reloading another dolly with more cases of water," Rockford said in a True the Vote incident report.
After handing out water and advocating for President Obama, the NAACP members started handpicking and moving people to the front of a long voting line inside the polling place according to the incident report. After multiple complaints from voters about the line cutting, Rockford received a phone call from downtown telling her to “stand down.”
“All of the sudden one of the clerks, Dayan Cohen, said that someone wanted to speak to me on the phone. It was someone from downtown. I got on the phone and she said she was from downtown and that I needed to stand down and that it was okay for the NAACP to be within 100 ft. and they could hand out water. I told her that the NAACP was inside the building, wearing the NAACP clothing and caps and were handing out water and moving people from the back of the lines to the front of the lines,” Rockford said.
At this point, NAACP members were instructed to turn their clothing inside out, which they refused to do and said they weren’t going to stop their actions inside the polling place. Their behavior and actions to move people to the front of the line continued for the rest of the evening. Texas State Representative Sylvester Turner, a former Texas NAACP leader, was also seen outside the building talking with voters.
“The NAACP basically ran this poll location and the judges did nothing about it,” Rockford said.
If you see voter fraud, voter intimidation or electioneering, please report it! Smart phones make a wonderful way to document what's going on, but stay within the law! Many polling stations don't allow you to have your phone on by law.

Go to Citizen Media Law Project for information about your area, or just call local polling authorities to find out specifics.

Ted Nugent ROCKS!

I just found this on YouTube:

Nobody says it better. He shows the difference between the socialism and conservatism very nicely.

Vote for Mitt Romney and the GOP tomorrow!!

Obama and the WAR ON JOBS

From CBS local in Atanta:
Frank Duffy of Duffy Realty says he will only create the jobs if Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney wins this Tuesday’s election.
“It’s about a $50,000 investment that we’re willing to make on these new agents,” Duffy told WGCL-TV. “It’ll only happen if there’s a Republican in the White House after Wednesday. If there’s a President-Elect Romney, we’re willing to make that investment.”
This is what the Obama economy is about. Obama's taxes and regulations are an absolute drag on the because no one will take the gamble to hire or expand their businesses.

These people did build their companies from the ground up. They are the ones Obama wants to raise taxes on. The hiring class. Those who on paper make $250,000 or more. Not exactly the millionaires and billionaires that Obama keeps telling us about. They do want to make more money. They want to expand but they're not stupid.

Remember this? Of course you do.

That's the mentality of a socialist tyrant.

This woman is what real business is all about; something completely alien to Barack Obama.

Service members taken off voter rolls in Florida

Video and text from WTSP in Tampa Bay:

Florida State Law requires county supervisor of elections offices to perform regular "maintenance" on its voter rolls to eliminate voters who have been convicted of felonies, moved out of the county, or may have died.
Voters who miss two consecutive general elections (2010 and 2008, for instance) are mailed a letter to their residence warning them they will be removed from the rolls. But since the post office only forwards mail for six months, Kehrig never got it.
This sounds like a simple way to exclude members of a group who traditionally vote mostly republican.
Kehrig is one of about 30 active and reserve service members who have contacted the Hillsborough Supervisor of Elections' office about the discovery, but October 8 was the last day the law allows a voter to register for the general election. Other Tampa Bay-area counties reported small numbers of complaints too.
"It's not just a right that I've earned by being an American," Kehrig said of voting, "but I've (been) trying to protect our country and I really believe it's a right I'm being denied."
Kehrig has served in the military for more than 30 years, including time at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. He suggests legislators change the law so service members aren't disenfranchised.

Mitt Romney

Great speech! I hadn't seen this until just now. Rush was talking about how great it was yesterday so I took a look. WOW!

You can tell how much Mitt Romney loves his country. He's proud. At roughly the 18 minute mark he tells his story of the American Flag. He is completely reverential to our country and it's symbols. They aren't just props to him.

Bill Clinton may be the only person in America that's excited about four more years of hell.

Well. Okay.

CBS finally takes a look at Benghazi.

Via CBS News:
CBS News has learned that during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Obama Administration did not convene its top interagency counterterrorism resource: the Counterterrorism Security Group, (CSG).
"The CSG is the one group that's supposed to know what resources every agency has. They know of multiple options and have the ability to coordinate counterterrorism assets across all the agencies," a high-ranking government official told CBS News. "They were not allowed to do their job. They were not called upon."
Information shared with CBS News from top counterterrorism sources in the government and military reveal keen frustration over the U.S. response on Sept. 11, the night Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in a coordinated attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya.
Yup. How long has it been? FOX News is covering this thing on a daily basis.
Another senior counter terrorism official says a hostage rescue team was alternately asked to get ready and then stand down throughout the night, as officials seemed unable to make up their minds.
Crisis in leadership. Absolute paralysis at the top.
"The response process was isolated at the most senior level," says an official referring to top officials in the executive branch. "My fellow counterterrorism professionals and I (were) not consulted."
Disgusting.

Read some of the readers comments at CBS News. It's just now dawning on some of them that this is a cover-up. Many are rationalizing with their heads in the sand.

The Obama regime is working for the American citizens. It's time to fire them.

Keep it classy, Obama camp!

From Benny Johnson at The Blaze:

In a speech to a packed room of Obama for America phone bank volunteers at the Democratic National Committee headquarters Thursday night in Washington, D.C., Special Assistant to the President Kareem Dale said that people with disabilities are going to be “absolutely killed” under the proposed policies of Mitt Romney and delivered a strong message to the crowd: “let’s win this motherfu**er.”
...
“We know that other minorities are not going to have the same opportunity in this country if Mitt Romney becomes president.” He also said that the LGBT community would “loose their rights if Mitt Romney becomes president.”
“We cannot afford to go back,” he added to the crowd of about 60. He said later, “We’ve seen [Romney], we've seen what he has to say, we've seen what he is all about” and even though he does this “whole waffling thing” that the “proof is in the pudding.” He also hammered Romney on the governor’s 47 percent remarks, saying “I’m one of those 47 percent. Many of you all are one of those 47 percent. And I’ll be damned if were going to let somebody who does not care about me or other people like me get into office. It’s not gonna happen.”

Of course. The same tired lies that the Dems have been spreading forever. They created the KKK in response to the freed slaves. They created Jim Crow. But somehow the GOP is going to make the situation of minorities and "LGBT" even worse in this already failed economy?

It is a fact that the plight of this nation is horrible in the face of Obama's failed economic policies. Minorities have been hit especially hard with much higher unemployment.

LGBT community can be comforted in the fact that Obama's best international friends tend to be Islamists. I'm not sure where they are on the tolerance scale though. I'll have to check that out.

A letter to the mainstream media.

From a friend on Twitter who writes to the mainstream media:

Dear Mainstream Media,

In this time of the most important Presidential election in the history of the United States, you are letting down the American people, who have for so long trusted you to be our defense against tyranny in our government. You continue to run cover for a man who is very likely the worst President in our 237 year history.
The latest foul-up you are ignoring is of course the incident at the Benghazi “consulate” and the cover-up by the Obama administration. This is one of the two most egregious illegal acts by the Obama administration, the other being “Fast And Furious.” Given the nature of these two Obama administration failures, I would think, as I am sure most of the American people would think, that you would attack with great resolve. After all, many people have lost their lives due to these two Obama endeavors. Yet you are silent.

So begins a great letter at The Daily Pamphlet that describes exactly how the obsolete media have behaved. Go read it.

The media can assume that they are going to lose this war that they have waged against the American people with their misinformation and outright propaganda starting with the election of Mitt Romney for President of the United States.

The Des Moines Register loses some readers, and gains integrity.

My first tweet on Sunday October 28:
Seriously. I grew up reading the Des Moines Register. Donald Kaul was my favorite columnist.

So I know whereof I speak! Traditionally a very liberal paper with idiots for editors. (I only came to that conclusion after I grew up and saw the liberal bias.)

Here's just a little of the editorial:

Consumers must feel more confident about their own economic futures to begin spending on the products and services that power the economy. A renewed sense of confidence will spark renewed investment by American companies. Industry will return to full production and hiring will begin again.
That should come with Mitt Romney in the White House.
There is not a lot of difference between the two candidates’ short-term economic plans, as both are heavy on a promise of tax cuts for the middle class but short on details. Romney’s plan, however, goes beyond helping the middle class with tax breaks.
Throughout the campaign, he has expressed faith in the private sector to fuel a more robust economic recovery if it has more confidence that the federal government will not be an obstacle. Romney has a strategy for job growth through tax and regulatory relief for small businesses, encouraging all forms of domestic energy production, education that prepares graduates with job skills, expanding foreign trade and reducing the burden of federal deficits.
That formula, coupled with his business acumen, should unlock this nation’s economic potential.
So comes the backlash, the letters:
The Register endorses Mitt Romney? Seriously? Is it new ownership or just temporary insanity?

There are many problems I see with your handling of the Obama interview on background, your resurrecting a deprecating trivial piece about Obama visiting the State Fair run in mid-October, and your endorsement of Romney. I won’t belabor this. I am not a “take my ball and go home” person. But your poor editorial decision making in all three of these matters was the final straw. It galvanized my decision to discontinue my subscription. I’ll miss having the paper every day, but I’ve missed the sense of journalistic responsibility the paper used to have.

Don’t even try explaining to us how you can devote so much space to children going hungry in Iowa and then endorse Mitt Romney–because we have cancelled our subscription.

The exact people you are endorsing would happily eliminate women’s health choices. You are getting in bed with religious zealots and lunatics.

The Register has not just endorsed Romney for President. You have effectively given in to the destructive agenda of the Tea Party. One of their strategies from the beginning was to create such a degree of partisanship that it would be impossible for Obama to govern. So, you endorse Romney in the hopes that the Tea Party will cooperate with this man, since he dutifully spouted off much of their divisive and cruel ideas. And maybe, just maybe gridlock will be broken in Congress.
I am canceling the subscription to the Des Moines Register I have had for many years. I cannot trust the validity of the news conveyed by an editorial staff that endorses a power-hungry candidate for president who dons a different set of principles like a set of clothing every morning.

Ugly libs make up most of the Register's readers, I'm afraid. In this, one can see how conservatives have been alienated by their editorial policies over the years. See how the writers of these letters paint Mitt and the Tea Party to be power hungry and heartless. Listen to the Democrat talking points. Ugh.

Digging down through the hateful rhetoric and lies, I finally found some sanity:
Surely Hell Hath Frozen Over. Yes, it’s true after your endorsement of Romney. But I’ll take it anyway. After all the liberal garbage spewed forth for the last decade or so, it seems you’ve somewhat seen the light. Still, I question your endorsement of Vilsack. If you had seen the debate of King/Vilsack Friday night at Carroll, IA, all I can say is if it wasn’t so sad it would be funny. She rambled thru much of the debate with incoherent reasons she’s qualified and even the moderator had to stop her. Just laughable. I suggest you rethink that endorsement. I’ll vote for the person most qualified, not the party. In both of these cases, I rest my case. For BHO, investigate Benghazi – I rest my case there also. This is not over, but probably won’t be fully “brought to light” till after the elections. Buried, just like Fast & Furious. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic. And people still think this guy is “trustworthy”. Surely you jest.

Mitt plays nicely with others.

According to AP:
WASHINGTON (AP) — Just about everybody agrees Washington is a gridlocked mess. But who's the man to fix it? After two years of brawling and brinkmanship between President Barack Obama and congressional Republicans, more voters trust Mitt Romney to break the stalemate.
Romney's message — a vote for Obama is a vote for more gridlock — seems to be getting through. An Associated Press-GfK poll shows that almost half of likely voters — some 47 percent — think the Republican challenger would be better at ending the logjam Thirty-seven percent say Obama would.
This seems likely, though I think that since it's liberal AP reporting this, it's probably worse for Obama than they say. Anyone who watched the live bi-partisan ObamaCare meetings would tell you how horribly Barack plays with others.

In the more recent Presidential debates, Mitt well illustrated that he can work with people from both sides of the aisle.

The Obama nightmare is collapsing?

This from the Denver Post:
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has been busy pushing for President Obama’s re-election — appearing on stage Tuesday before former President Bill Clinton’s speech and even heading to Milwaukee on Sunday to push for the Badger State’s vote.
Hancock even broke news on that Wisconsin trip, telling voters if the election were to be held right now the president would lose Wisconsin and its coveted 10 electoral votes.
That a Democrat is saying this is telling. I still believe that there may be a landslide Tuesday night.

To clarify, I think that a lot of obsolete media types -- having invested so much effort in Barack Insane Obama -- will be puking on their shoes before midnight Tuesday.

Treachery

The United States is running guns to terrorists. Were our staff in Benghazi killed with American weapons? Why would we sell guns to groups connected to the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda?

Situation room photo emerges...for Hurricane Sandy

yup.

This is important. Don't get me wrong.

But I just get the feeling that the president would rather look like a leader than a spineless coward. Maybe that's why there's so little information coming out about Benghazi.

Just watch:

(H/T @Ricaine)

Algore's an idiot. But you knew that already.

From Al Gore's stupid blog:
The images of Sandy’s flooding brought back memories of a similar--albeit smaller scale-- event in Nashville just two years ago. There, unprecedented rainfall caused widespread flooding, wreaking havoc and submerging sections of my hometown. For me, the Nashville flood was a milestone. For many, Hurricane Sandy may prove to be a similar event: a time when the climate crisis—which is often sequestered to the far reaches of our everyday awareness became a reality.
While the storm that drenched Nashville was not a tropical cyclone like Hurricane Sandy, both storms were strengthened by the climate crisis. Scientists tell us that by continually dumping 90 million tons of global warming pollution into the atmosphere every single day, we are altering the environment in which all storms develop. As the oceans and atmosphere continue to warm, storms are becoming more energetic and powerful. Hurricane Sandy, and the Nashville flood, were reminders of just that. Other climate-related catastrophes around the world have carried the same message to hundreds of millions.
Ugh. The  Obsolete media will, of course, jump on this and continue the meme.It doesn't matter that when anyone points to record cold conditions in the middle of the winter, the left says, "That's just an outlier!" They pick and choose their facts, like some liberal flake flitting from one religion to the next.

Anyway, warming trends ended sixteen years ago.

Facebook repressing first amendment rights of Navy Seals (updated)

From Breitbart:
Over the weekend, Facebook took down a message by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) which highlighted the fact that Obama denied backup to the forces being overrun in Benghazi.
The message was contained in a meme which demonstrated how Obama had relied on the SEALS when he was ready to let them get Osama bin Laden, and how he had turned around and denied them when they called for backup on Sept 11.
It looks like the libs at Facebook have free speech issues when it comes to their President looking bad.

Update:

Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook has a vested interest in keeping Obama afloat. This from Fast Company in 2009:
We are in Washington, D.C., just three days before his most recent boss, Barack Obama, will take office. It is so bone-jarringly cold that even nestled over coffee inside a Starbucks, we can see our breath. I resist the urge to pat his nearly whiskerless cheek, or reach over to tighten his jacket against the frigid air. Such a baby face. But at the age of 25, Hughes has helped create two of the most successful startups in modern history, Facebook and the campaign apparatus that got Barack Obama elected. Both were dedicated to the proposition that communities, and the way we share and interact within them, are vitally important. As he recounts his two years as director of online organizing for the man who put community organizing on the map, the existential reverie is understandable. He doesn't know what community means? Really? "Well, I just never think of myself as being in the business of building an online community."
He was instrumental in getting Barack Obama elected through the use of online social media and attended Barack Obama's first state dinner, according to Wikipedia.

I don't even know if he's still involved in the day to day operations of Facebook. I do know that this demonstrates a tradition of Facebook supporting the liberal cause.

(thank you @dawnkazmierzak for the tip!)

WOW! New email pertaining to Benghazi may be released soon! (update: Regime has audio tapes of attack)

This is what I tweeted yesterday:

Newt Gingrich was in town on the local radio station, supporting Todd Akin's run against Claire McCaskill. Towards the end of the interview he had that blockbuster.

Now this from the Daily Caller:
“There is a rumor — I want to be clear, it’s a rumor — that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Adviser’s office telling a counterterrorism group to stand down,” Gingrich said. “But they were a group in real-time trying to mobilize marines and C-130s and the fighter aircraft, and they were told explicitly by the White House stand down and do nothing. This is not a terrorist action. If that is true, and I've been told this by a fairly reliable U.S. senator, if that is true and comes out, I think it raises enormous questions about the president’s role, and Tom Donilon, the National Security Adviser’s role, the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, who has taken it on his own shoulders, that he said don’t go. And that is, I think, very dubious, given that the president said he had instructions they are supposed to do everything they could to secure American personnel.”

Here's the video via FOX News by way of Gateway Pundit:
(Go about 10 minutes in)

The President and his personnel spent two weeks telling us that this was about a video posted on YouTube. It's obvious that they didn't want anyone to believe that this was a terror attack and it seems factual that they didn't want anyone to believe that it was a terror attack from the outset.

My personal feel for this is that they were looking at the optics of the situation and the President's personal belief that there are no Muslim terrorists.

They felt that it would look bad coming into a country to save our own people when Obama was  trying to openly display that Libya was now a normal democracy with no terrorist problems. The Obama regime has managed to strike the word terrorism from most government documents.

UPDATE:
There's so much information that the American people need to have. This video and text from Gateway Pundit:

Sean Hannity was debating liberal Juan Williams Tuesday on the Benghazi massacre. Hannity revealed this on the audio tapes of Tyrone Woods begging for air support on 9-11, “My sources tell me they’re pretty damning, Juan. They’re begging for help.”

"Our Children"

Here's the latest from the Romney campaign:

Our kids can't afford another four years of Barack Obama. None of us can.

This is how low Obama and his minions will go. NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK!

Yes it's real. You can tell they're libs because they have the same potty mouths that the occupiers had.

Wow.

STOP THE PRESSES! HUNDREDS OF FISH KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT!

HOW COULD YOU?

They want to put up a memorial sign.

PETA does.

From the Orange County Register:
The sign would read, "In memory of hundreds of fish who suffered and died at this spot," to remind tractor-trailer drivers of their responsibility to the animals who are "hauled to their deaths every day," according to the letter provided by PETA.
Please stop laughing. Fish have feelings too:
"Research tells us that fish use tools, tell time, sing, and have impressive long-term memories and complex social structures, yet fish used for food are routinely crushed, impaled, cut open, and gutted, all while still conscious. Sparing them from being tossed from a speeding truck and slowly dying from injuries and suffocation seems the least that we can do,"
No worries about people that might have been hurt in the traffic accident. Just the poor fish that were going to be killed and eaten anyway.

The left's storm-troopers threaten our freedom of speech.

The vandalism happened Friday night outside of two homes with Romney campaign signs in Alta Loma, Calif. The vandals keyed three cars and also slashed the seats in one of the vehicles. But Ken Slown and his wife, who own two of the cars, are actually out-of-work Obama supporters who are staying with the wife’s pro-Romney parents. “I don’t know if they were trying to get a point across, to vote for Obama, but to do something like this is not going to get the point across,” Slown told CBS2 in Los Angeles. The third vehicle is owned by a neighbor who does support Romney.
Wow. This is the Occupy Wall Street mentality at work. You're rich. You don't deserve a nice car anyway and you are going to pay for transgressing against what I feel is the correct way of thinking.

Horrible people.

Tyrone Woods' father speaks up.

via @peiklk
On the night of Septenber 11, 2012, Tyrone Woods heard the call and answered it. He went to help those at the consulate in Benghazi and died a hero.

This from The Blaze. Charles Woods, Tyrone Woods father calls in to the Glenn Beck show and describes his experiences with the Obama administration during a ceremony for the people who died in the Benghazi terror attack.

Obama:
The grieving father also described his brief encounter with President Obama during the ceremony for the Libya victims.
“When he finally came over to where we were, I could tell that he was rather conflicted, a person who was not at peace with himself,” Woods said. “Shaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish. His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the eye, his eyes were over my shoulder.”
“I could tell that he was not sorry,” he added. “He had no remorse.”
Beck said he wanted to give the president “the benefit of the doubt,” and asked Woods how he could be sure that Obama wasn’t just uncomfortable or nervous during their conversation. Woods said it was Obama’s “demeanor.”

Biden:
Vice President Biden, as he has become known to do, reportedly made a wildly inappropriate comment to the father who had just lost his hero son.
Woods said Biden came over to his family and asked in a “loud and boisterous” voice, “Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?”
“Are these the words of someone who is sorry?” said Woods.

Hillary Clinton:
After apologizing for his loss, Woods said Clinton told him that the U.S. would “make sure that the person who made that film is arrested and prosecuted.”
Obviously, Clinton was referring to the anti-Muslim YouTube video that the Obama administration spent nearly two weeks blaming for the attack. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice, Clinton and the president himself all blamed the video at various points. Beck pointed out that the White House is now trying to claim that it has always considered terrorism as the cause of the attack.
“When she said that, I could tell that she was not telling me the truth,” Woods said about Clinton.
If it weren't so tragic, it'd be cartoonish. Why does anyone believe that these people are interested in anything but saving their own asses?

I asked the question before, and I'll ask again. Would Obama care if any one of us died?

I miss Breitbart.

This great illustration come from @ArthurMooreIV on twitter.

The Unskewed updated projections

Look at all the red! We'll see just how accurate this is come November 6. My inclination is that we won't be up after midnight to know who has won the Presidential race.

What has our 'leader' done?

This from @peiklk on twitter:

Would Obama care if you died if it furthered his ideology?

I asked myself that question this morning.

Barack Obama's regime sold over 2,000 guns to Mexican drug cartels. The stated plan was to track those weapons to Mexico, to find out which drug lords they would lead to. There is no way he could have assumed that no deaths would take place. Two Americans died because of those guns, along with over 300 Mexicans.

The regime planned on using the increased violence caused by the influx of easily smuggled weapons into Mexico as a rationale for tightening gun regulations in the United States.

Now this from Glenn Beck:

Our country; Our President is supplying radical Islam with huge arms supplies. What he has done is getting Americans killed. Does he even care, as long as no one sees what he's really doing?

When is the media going to tell the story?

The world hates Mitt Romney. GREAT REASON TO VOTE FOR HIM!!

This from The Beeb:

Obama has a huge lead in the world. As far as I'm concerned, there is no better reason to vote for Romney. He's looking out for the interests of the United States, not the world. I would also say here that the world has no idea what Obama has done to the economy. Through government overreach in all areas from healthcare to job killing regulation, we have had the worst 'recovery' from a recession since the Great Depression.

The United States is hurting because of his world policies too. By withdrawing and threatening to hack back our military funding, by apologizing to world leaders for threatening to 'impose' freedom on them, we are more unsafe now than at any time in my memory.

Vote for Mitt. If only because the world wants you to vote for Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

Our freedom of speech is being slaughtered by our leaders.

When someone draws a cartoon or makes a film that Muslims do not like there are violent protests. And our government and media respond not by defending freedom of speech, but by considering whether it should be limited. They criticize not the angry mob, nor those pushing for censorship, but the cartoonist or filmmaker that ‘provoked’ such a response.
Susan Rice via CNN News:
"There was a hateful video that was disseminated on the Internet. It had nothing to do with the United States government, and it's one that we find disgusting and reprehensible. It's been offensive to many, many people around the world. That sparked violence in various parts of the world, including violence directed against Western facilities including our embassies and consulates."
When will we learn? The freedom of speech is a right given to us by God and Nature that no man can take away. Are we going to give that up?

This from British Freedom Organization by way of Gateway Pundit:
We have just heard that Tommy Robinson has been incarcerated in London’s Wandsworth Prison, sharing a cell with Muslims on a wing full of Muslims screaming death threats at him.
This is how the authorities react to those who try to warn Britain of the greatest threat to national peace and security since the Second World War.
The British Government is hereby forewarned that should any harm come to Tommy Robinson in prison, they will be held to account.
The Government has a duty of care to all prisoners, not to go out of their way to place them in potential danger for vindictive or political reasons.
Also from Gateway Pundit:

We have reached a point in the USA, but even more so in the UK, where people are afraid to talk about Islam for fear of being threatened, hurt or killed. What do our governments do to protect us?

They arrest us.

And then, when Islam doesn't behave as they expect, they cover up their failure to see. They lie.
Barack Obama, and his team, in order to show the world that our relationship with them was a more normal one, refused to give proper security to Ambassador Stevens, and four people died in a completely predictable event on September 11, 2012.
Over night, the world learned that the White House was told that terrorists took credit for the attack in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and 3 others two hours after the attacks began. The same attack that Team Obama said was caused by a YouTube video. Obama's response to the email telling of the attacks? He went back to bed.
